The decline in English proficiency among the Filipino youth poses a big challenge in the academe in terms of producing globally competitive graduates. As industries today seek employees who can think critically and communicate well, it is imperative to hone student's English communication skills to establish a more competent Filipino workface.

This annual national event will have its pilot run this year, to be participated by 4th year high school students from almost 600 public and private secondary schools across the country. This competition will be officially launched on the first week of October at the STI Academic Center, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
