HRM Bridging Program: Punturin NHS

Another bridging program was held last February 20, 2009 (Friday) at STI College - Meycauayan, Kitchen Laboratory with the participation of Punturin National High school students.

Ms. Rolivi Ignacio and some HRS volunteer students guided the participants to bake brownies.




- Lunch and certifficates was also provided and given to the students of Punturin NHS.



After the baking session, the students were also toured in the facilities of STI College Meycauayan by the Admissions Officer, Ms. Loida Cruz and some MAGS members.




























BS Tourism Management (BSTM) -
This four-year
program will equip students with the knowledge, skill and attitude essential in the various sectors of the tourism industry such as operations and tour guiding.

BS Travel Management (BSTRM) - The four-year program will impart students with the necessary expertise in operating travel agencies, including itinerary planning, budget allocation and costing, sales and marketing, and tour guiding.

Ideal for those who favor planning from an office setup, this program will prepare students to become competent travel management professionals.

2-year Travel & Tourism Services (TRT) - The program will provide its students with the skills and knowledge in travel services, tour guiding, and tourism promotions, as well as in basic culinary.

The integration of theories learned inside the classroom and on-the-job training will prepare the students to become globally competitive professionals in the tourism industry.

The STI 14th National Youth Convention

Last January 5, 2009, students from different STI campuses celebrated the annual National Youth Convention at SMX Convention Center, SM Mall of Asia. STI campuses such as STI Alabang, STI Batangas, STI Makati, STI Global City, STI Muñoz, STI Laguna and our very own STI Meycauayan listened to the seminar about "Cracking the code to Sucess". Three speakers were invited to talk about the 3C's which are Connect, Communicate and Control. The STI All Star female dance troop gave an intermission number with Bill Cosme(Host).



CONNECT - The first part of the seminar was about Blogging ("A Blog's Life"). Students were thought about the different things to blog about and some Filipino personalities that became popular because of blogging. The speaker Mr. Spanky Enriquez also introduced the "Facebook" which is the newest social networking site for online fanatics to post articles, photos, videos, to be connected and chat with your friends.

CONTROL -The second part was about saving your money or the "PESOnality" . The speaker Mr. Dennis Evangelista thought the STIers to manage and spend their money wisely in things or invest in businesses that will profit for themselves.

COMMUNICATE - And the last part was about building a good relationship with the same and opposite sex, the "Think LINK" part. Mr. Jojo Recio (Speaker), explained that every individual must coomunicate with other people for them to improve their personality and sociality.

Last January 31, 2009 ICT Bridging Program was held in STI College - Meycauayan, lab A. The participants are from Meycauayan National High School - Bancal Extension.
The ICT Bridging Program thoughts the students of MNHS - Bancal extension how to use the basic usage of Photoshop with the help of Emi Angelo Mejia as the instructor and some MAGS Members.
